Chinook Salmon, commonly known in BC as Spring Salmon, provide an excellent challenge for any fisherman. This past year one of the larger salmon caught in this area topped 60 pounds plus. The average size of Chinook's are about 25 pounds.

Sockeye Salmon

Sockeye salmon open in the summer, these fighting red meat fish will provide you with plenty of action and are excellent on the barbecue.

Coho / Silver Salmon

Coho or silver salmon, as our American friends call them, provide a rocket ship ride when they hit and run. This species is a true sportsman's trophy.

Pink Salmon

Pink salmon are smaller than the others, but are great fly fishing. Pink salmon only return every two years to spawn and can be identified by the large hump on the back of the male.

Chum Salmon

Chum salmon are called Dog's or Dog Salmon by many BC fishermen because of there large hooked like incisor teeth. Chum return to southern BC waters in the fall of the year and are fished for heavily by the commercial fishers as well as Native BC fisheries. There are lots fish left over for the sport fisherman and are a great trophy.
